Three Imaginary Girls review of Scotch Hog (8/10)

Dec. 18
It's news like this that makes me feel as though darkness is imprisoning me, and all that I see is absolute horror: The Croc is no more. Yes, sometime between the booking of our upcoming show there and, well, last weekend, the place's owner(s) decided to shutter one of the best live-music venues in town. RIP, Croc, we loved your stage, acoustics and sound man.

But life must go on.

So Thursday's show, the birthday party/benefit for Imaginary Liz, has moved to El Corazon, everyone's favorite metalhole. Aw yeah. We're excited, as The Heart is a club where we have seen many a thrashy, thrashy show.

Doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m., cost is $8, it's a benefit for wee little kids — we're on first, so come early and booze it up with us while watching the other bands (Rachel Flotard & pals, Tullycraft) or sitting on Indie Rock Santa John Roderick's "lap." We promise good times.
